CLINICIAN - JEWISH FAMILY & CHILDREN'S SERVICE OF PHOENIX

JFCS is currently seeking a Master's level Clinician working with either adults or children. We have FT positions with flexible scheduling.

The clinician will perform the following duties:

  • Provides ongoing clinical services such as direct therapy, case management services, facilitation of child family teams, intakes, and assessments.
  • Provides ongoing supervision of associate clinicians, interns, and other clinical staff as required.
  • Develops programs directed at expanding the continuum of services in collaboration with clinical team members.
  • Provides clinical oversight for the coordination of behavioral health services with other agencies.
  • Identifies gaps in services and works with special projects and committees to better meet the client's needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work, Counseling or Marriage & Family therapy and minimum 2 years' experience in behavioral health field post Masters. License preferred, independent license a plus! Ability to receive and maintain fingerprint clearance.

The Position:

The Director of SMCOAS provides vision, leadership and management of the older adult and Holocaust Survivor programs whose primary objective is assisting the elderly to remain safe and independent in their own homes. In doing so:

  • Identifies, plans, implements and manages effective and efficient programs and services responding to identified community needs.
  • Strategically positions the program for growth based on agency strategic planning and business plan development.
  • Establishes strategic public and private partnerships throughout the East Bay in support of agency objectives.
  • Recruits, hires, orients, supports, supervises and retains a highly qualified and satisfied professional and support staff capable of delivering the department’s programs and services.
  • Contributes to the overall well-being of the agency by participating in strategic planning and other ongoing efforts to maximize benefit to the communities we serve.
Duties include:

  • Supervises, supports and mentors departmental staff to provide consistently excellent services to clients and community, as well as cultivates strong sense of departmental cohesiveness and teamwork.
  • Manages all human, financial, and other resources to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Assesses community needs; initiates innovative service delivery solutions to meet these needs.
  • Develops, manages and monitors departmental budget and program budgets. Works to develop a balanced and diverse mix of financial resources for financial stability.
  • Works together with other agency managers to develop strategies, coordinate activities and offer mutual support.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with providers of relevant services, utilizing partnerships and affiliations to meet objectives.
  • Ensures high level of visibility for JFCS/East Bay in senior services community, including outreach to promote services.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory and agency requirements, including completion of reports as required.
  • Develops policies and procedures for the efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Participates in developing policies and procedures for the agency as required.
Additional Function:

Assume major responsibility for overseeing successful launch and operation of home care services.

Qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or closely related field;
  • Current California clinical licensure (MFT, LCSW or psychologist) preferred;
  • Experience in providing care management and/or clinical services to older adults strongly preferred; depth of knowledge about current trends in gerontology and senior service programs;
  • Minimum of five years experience in senior services program development and management;
  • Knowledge of, and experience working in, Jewish community preferred.
  • Familiarity with business, training and other aspects of home care services preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain successful teams;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work respectfully and effectively with diverse spectrum of clients, co-workers and community members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; computer proficiency.
  • Commitment to agency mission.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-JEWISH SOCIAL SERVICES OF MADISON

Jewish Social Services of Madison provides a wide-range of social services to the Madison area and its surrounding communities. Rooted in Jewish tradition, our services are non-sectarian serving people of all ages, backgrounds, and lifestyles. We are seeking an Executive Director to provide vision, energy, and guidance for our future while building on our 30 years of service to the community.

The person we seek will combine strong fiscal management, fundraising and organizational leadership skills, with knowledge and experience of our clients' strengths and the challenges they face. The Executive Director works closely with 5 professional staff and a committed Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Management
* To manage and implement the accounting, budgeting, and reporting functions of the agency.
* To work with the Board in development of fiscal policies and procedures and to prepare agency budgets for Board approval.

Program Management
* To be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, operation, and evaluation of agency programs and services.
* To provide program and service data and information to the Board of Directors and work closely with the Board in evaluating current programs and development of new programs and initiatives.

Fund Raising, Development and Grant Writing
*To manage and implement existing agency fund raising and development efforts and bring vision and energy to new fund raising and development opportunities.
*To seek out new sources of funding through identification of potential resources and preparation of grants to access those resources.

Personnel Management and Case Work/ Staff Supervision
*To hire and assign staff, conduct staff performance appraisals, provide staff development/continuing education plans and consult with the Board about staff salary increases and other personnel issues.
*To supervise professional staff in their case work and other professional responsibilities.

Qualifications:
A graduate degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. A graduate degree in a related field will be considered. The candidate must have significant organizational leadership and management experience and familiarity with Jewish practice/culture/traditions.
